Basic Information:
I’ve been asked to compare the three machines in the Bowflex treadmill series. To make this easy to understand I will compare the 5 series with the 7 series. I will then compare the 3 series to the 5 and hopefully you will be able to make an informed decision.
Bowflex is owned by Nautilus, Inc. The retail price of the 7 is $1,999. The retail price of the 5 is $1,800 but you can get it for several hundred dollars less. The 7 is selling for about $1500; the 5 for about $1200.

I have reviewed the first 3 models in the line of TreadClimbers by Bowflex. I am now reviewing the newer TC5300 which will run you about $500 more than the TC5000 which was the top of the line. The TC5300 is one under the current top of the line.

I am reviewing the Star Trac Pro. This was a treadmill I hadn’t seen but have become very familiar with since joining my most recent gym.
About the Pro:
The Star Trac Pro is a huge treadmill. That caught my attention even before I saw the most unusual console I’ve every seen. The overall dimensions are 34″ x 85.5″ and the overall weight is 310 lbs. It certainly has a presence.

Bowflex doesn’t just make bow machines. They make other equipment such as the Bowflex 7-Series Treadmill. Bowflex is owned by Nautilus, Inc. The retail price is $1,999.
Basic Information:
I am going to call this machine the 7 for the sake of ease of reading.
It weighs about 185 pounds. This is very light for a treadmill of this caliber. It can be folded. I did fold this machine because Bowflex claims that it has what they call a SoftDrop technology. I agree that this works. After I folded it I just pushed on it a little and the deck went gliding to the floor softly. I’ve never seen this.
